Don Eugene Hageman was born on July 19, 1934 in Fort Atkinson, Iowa to Andrew and Marie Hageman. He had five siblings--Myles, Carolyn, Howard, Herbert, and David. When he was 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for three years. After leavin the Corps, he married Beatrice Hernandez on August 10, 1968. Eventually, he would open his own business, Hageman Electrical Company, and settle in Anaheim, California with his wife, and three children, Christopher, Kelly, and Lisa.
Don was a very happy, funny, intelligent, and generous man, always willing to help out a friend. He was a great lover of sports, especially baseball and football. He also enjoyed doing oil-based paint by number paintings, and spending time with his friends and family.
In March of 1992, Don was diagnosed with lung cancer, which eventually also spread to his brain. After nine months of grueling chemotherapy and radiation treatments, he lost his battle to cancer on December 17, 1992.
Everyone who knew Don loved him, and the feeling was entirely mutual. His legacy lives on in his three children, and granddaughter, Dylan. We love and miss every day, Dad!
